My research interests focus on (stem) cell-material interactions, and how these can be exploited to recreate original functionality for disease modelling and artificial stem cell niche engineering. Current research in our lab focuses on utilising multidisciplinary research concepts and tissue engineering approaches to developĀ in vitro models of healthy and diseased tissues, with a focus on recreating cancers of the bone/bone marrow as well as mesenchymal stem cell-associated diseases, with the potential for future translation for use in personalised medicine and high-throughput drug screening platforms.
