My research focusses on the molecular determinants of disease in high-risk populations. This is accomplished by pairing molecular and nutritional epidemiology-based approaches with novel statistical methods to data from cohort and clinical trials. My work suggests that populations that differ in age, ethnicity, or body weight respond to diet and physical activity differently, and likely contributes to disease-risk disparity between populations. The ultimate aim is to inform and develop modifiable prevention and  treatment strategies for diverse populations.
