We identify target molecules that are candidates for conferring treatment resistance in brain cancer, using patient samples. We then manipulate these molecules in model systems and test the effect on treatment response in order to confirm the direct link. To this end, we use a variety of models that capture different aspects of brain tumour biology and develop assays that adequately allow us to prioritise our candidate molecules for the development of novel drugs.
